Meet Our 2025 Scholarship
Star: Marielle “Ri-Ri” Manio
As a Psychology major heading to San Jose State University in the fall of 2025, Ri-Ri is blending her passion for the mind and the arts—majoring in Psychology and minoring in Theater. As Vice President of the Pride Club and a performer at the Performing Arts Center, she embodies creativity, leadership, and inclusion that our festival celebrates.
Described as “an extraordinary human and artist—visual and performing,” Ri-Ri accepted her certificate and $1000 award at the Scholarship Ceremony on May 14, 2025.
Congratulations, Ri-Ri! We can’t wait to see the stories you’ll bring to life!
The film industry plays a critical role in advancing diverse stories throughout California and beyond. In order to uplift future generations of storytellers and filmmakers, the Napa Valley Asian American Film Festival has established a scholarship for Napa Valley College students who are committed to film studies and all closely related fields.
